Job Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Technician with hands-on experience in maintenance and overhaul of reciprocating gas compressors, including replacement of bearings, piston rings, valves, rider rings, piston rods, and lube oil pumps. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills for compressor packages, including corrective maintenance, shaft alignment, lubrication, sealing, and performance diagnostics. The candidate must be able to read technical drawings and manuals, prepare tools and spares for maintenance activities, and support preventive maintenance and major overhauls. Experience in using diagnostic tools such as vibration analyzers and pressure gauges is required, along with knowledge of safety systems and compliance with API/ASME standards. The role also includes preparing maintenance reports, commissioning documentation, and equipment performance records while ensuring safe working practices.
Requirement
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 7+ years of experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of rotating equipment in refinery or petrochemical industries. Strong hands-on experience in breakdown, preventive, and corrective maintenance of rotating machinery, with solid troubleshooting skills in industrial plant environments.
